Maiden Voyage of the USS Sea Woof

Crabby and Morty spent the day yesterday testing out the USS Sea Wolf (Sea Eagle inflatable kayak, courtesy of Santa) on Lake Pleasant.

From what I’m told, there were some great photos and videos of the adventure, but the telephone on which they were recorded is now at the bottom of the lake, much to the chagrin of the phone’s owner, who was captaining another vessel.

All we are left with are these, taken on Crabby’s camera.

That’s it folk, that’s all we have 😦

For what it’s worth, the other photographer’s phone is in a waterproof case, and the videos and pics may still be retrievable.   If anyone with scuba certification were to need an excuse to dive, or want some search experience, Crabby would be more than happy to give the location of where the phone went in…  just saying…

    1. Oddly, Morty wasn’t as into it as we thought he would be. A day of boating, not his thing. Boating to an interesting area where he can run – definitely his thing.

I may actually have Christmas off from work, so I get my maiden voyage then. We’re going to take Franky to give him a try. I could sooo see him loving the idea of watching the world from the bow of the boat!

    1. There was one point where they ended up taking Morty to shore to let him run a long the bank while the boys paddled along the lake. Morty thought he was being left behind so he swam out to intercept them. I would have loved to have seen that video!

Morty was hoisted back on to the USS Sea Woof after that incident, and refrained from further boat tipping activities from that point on.

  1. How bad, that the phone submerged… but at least fishies can’t talk, so they aren’t able to produce a giant phone bill. I’m, glad the maiden voyage went well, YAY for Captain Crabby and his brave matey Morty!

    1. Fortunately there will be more voyages – despite the fact I ran over the USS Sea Woof, this (Christmas) morning, while backing out of the driveway. The Sea Woof survived with nothing more than a large tire track on her carrying case.
