Christmas Came Early to Run A Muck Ranch

Y’all know how Crabby and his Main Mutt Morty like to get out into the wilderness.   You should also know how happy Willy gets whenever Crabby and Morty leave.

I found the PERFECT gift for the 3 of them!

Parts 1 and 1a were here yesterday. Fortunately, neither Crabby nor Morty could figure out what was coming next.

    1. Actually, the interior is 10 feet, and could easily fit a 3rd, possibly 4 seats, but Morty has shown a preference to riding the bows of prior boats he’s ridden in, and Crabby needs space for camping gear, so I think it will ever only use one seat. No girls allowed (unless it’s Emmi).

    1. Since it’s inflatable, breaking a bottle in the hull might not be such a good idea. They’ll probably pop open a beer can and our it on 🙂

      1. Crabby brought home a piece of rubber matting the trim to fit the bottom of the USS Sea Woof, which should avoid problems.

As extra insurance I ground Marty’s nails last night.

The USS Sea Woof’s hull should be secure!

  1. Great gift! Morty (And Dan) will LOVE it! Matching PFD and CFD – – that’s a great touch.

Harley loved to go kayaking when he could see. I’m not sure how he would react now. I’m keeping his CFD just in case.

    1. If Harley liked it when he could see, he’ll still like it when he can’t. You have to remember it isn’t the destination it’s the journey. Harley is only broken if you tell him he is. If you set his limitations he will be limited – if you let Harley set his own limitations you might be surprised at what he can actually do.

Technically speaking Harley’s my little brother. If he can’t speak it’s my job to speak for him. STOP TELLING HIM HE’S HANDICAPPED!

  2. If he’s never been in a canoe/kayak, practice on the ground in full gear. otherwise he may jump out and upset the kayak. I sing ROW , ROW, YOUR BOAT and later while in the canoe, they remembered their training while I sang the song again. You can read my blogs to see Emily and later Velvet in their life jackets in the canoes. Too cold here in NJ to go now so we await May 2015!

    1. Morty had some experience prior to the acquisition of the USS Sea Woof. He’s good for short stints, but gets restless on longer ones. Probably NOT a good idea to have Crabby sing.
