Pablo and Gertie Officially Orphans

Pablo and Gertie’s alleged person fell of the map, leaving Pablo and Gertie officially orphans.

Pablo is really enjoying being an orphan. 2 squares a day, a couch, people bed (which he can jump up on incidentally), laps and playmates.

Gertie, with her bad haircut, is only a happy orphan when she's in the AC.

I’ve had no luck getting anyone to help network the kids for rehoming, especially if they have no proof of vetting or vaccinations.  Since all local rescues are beyond capacity, and we ‘already have so many, we may as well keep them’, we can’t get the kids under a rescue voucher for their vaccinations or exams.   That we’re not a rescue ourselves means we can’t get rescue courtesies at a vet.

Though Gertie was vetted, she wasn’t vaccinated.   Emmi’s emergency took Pablo’s exam funds and then some.   Unfortunately, it’s just a really bad month for additional expenses.

Both Gertie and Pablo have lived at The Ranch long enough to learn they don’t have any overt health problems, both have very good house manners, and both are clearly fine with other dogs.    It would be more than a little greatly appreciated if anyone with rescue networking clout could courtesy post them for us “as is” in hopes of finding them a permanent home as soon as possible!

      1. Ah, but Stuart is one of your people. Wouldn’t you like to go a little latin exotic?

    1. It is a rare case indeed when we actually get help rehoming. Crabby knew that when he cut the kids away from the tree. Just my way of going through the stages of grief. There may be a rescue interested in networking, possibly fostering Gertie. Will know at the end of the week.
